Kane, which in welsh means warrior, earned his name by breaking free from the horrible past he used to live! This sweet boy has spent his entire life on a chain tied to a tree in a backyard in rural North Carolina. After some convincing, the owners agreed to surrender him to the rescue and now this two-year-old, 65 lb. pittie is up in Connecticut ready to find his happily furever after!
Being an outdoor dog his whole life, Kane's finally adjusting to life inside a cozy foster home. Like most pit bulls, this guy LOVES love! He is as affectionate as can be and will jump up and give you a hug, while gently licking your hand. He will look up at you with his golden brown eyes and you can just feel the love he has to give. Kane knows he's finally safe and will thank you for years to come. In addition to being a cuddler, he loves a game of fetch and running around the yard. He is an energetic boy who enjoys adventures, chewing on a kong with peanut butter, belly rubs, and laying in the sun!
Since he has never lived as a normal dog, he would benefit from some training classes. Kane's currently in a home with children so we believe he'll be fine with kids 8+ as long as they're dog savvy. He would do best in a home with no other dogs as he's still learning how to interact and play. You MUST have a fenced yard to be considered for his adoption. Dog experience highly preferred.
Kane's adoption fee is $350 and he is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, heartworm negative, and neutered.
