NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) - Three Catholic elementary schools in Connecticut will merge into one because of low enrollment. The Archdiocese of Hartford announced Wednesday that All Saints Catholic Academy will open this fall. The new school will be K-8 and seek accreditation as an International Baccalaureate school. The Catholic Academy of New Haven in Westville and St. Bernadette School in Morris Cove will be consolidated at the site of St. Francis and St. Rose of Lima School in New Haven. The Rev. James Shanley, the archdiocese's vicar for clergy, says each of the three schools has about 100 students.
