More than 130 educators, parents, health leaders and policymakers gathered in Danbury to discuss helping Connecticut children get ready for kindergarten. The event at Western Connecticut State University focused on connecting families with early childhood programs and support. The Connecticut Cradle to Career Coalition organized the discussion. Organizers say their next steps include coordinating services and directing funding toward programs that improve kindergarten readiness.
