The Western Connecticut Academy of International Studies Elementary Magnet School in Danbury has been named a 2026 Connecticut Blue Ribbon School. The school is one of only six in the state to receive the honor and one of five recognized for both high academic performance and closing achievement gaps. Governor Ned Lamont and state education leaders will honor the schools during a ceremony June 9 in West Hartford.
