Just across the state line, a tractor-trailer hauling tons of popcorn caught fire early Sunday on Pugsley Road in the Town of Southeast, New York creating one snack nobody wanted buttered. Brewster firefighters spent more than two hours putting out the flames and hot spots. No injuries were reported, and the fire did not spread. Authorities are investigating what caused the truckload to pop off.
