Danbury is among several Connecticut communities installing license plate-reading cameras on school buses. The cameras activate when a bus stops with red lights flashing and its stop arm extended, recording drivers who pass illegally. The footage is sent to police. A first camera-recorded violation carries a 250-dollar fine.
