Connecticut wildlife officials will hold a public bear safety forum Wednesday night after residents reported black bears breaking into homes this summer. The meeting begins at 7 p.m. at Warren Woods on Brick School Road in Warren. State biologists will discuss how to keep bears out of homes, safely handle encounters and reduce attractants such as garbage, bird feeders, livestock feed and beehives.
