FEMA is making more than 17 million dollars available for flood resilience projects across New England, including two projects in Connecticut. The Town of Southington could receive 300-thousand dollars for a flooding study in Plantsville, while West Haven is slated for 2-point-4 million dollars for Savin Rock Beach reinforcement. Communities must submit applications by July 22 before any funds are awarded.
