A former Danbury legislative candidate has repaid $1,769 in public campaign funds improperly spent on clothing and an office deposit. Melissa Santana’s former campaign treasurer, Anna Nicolin of Bethel, was also fined $600 for financing violations and serving while not registered to vote.
