Newtown’s wetlands commission has approved Monroe landscaper Austin Bonner’s plan for a Christmas tree farm, pumpkin patch and cornfield on Obtuse Road near the Brookfield border. The one-acre growing area is within a protected wetlands buffer, but officials determined farming is permitted on the property.
